Finally, she was ready, so Dr. Gail Weingast was a practicing radiologist at several other hospitals in Colorado before moving to New York and then to her current position in Connecticut. Her career path hasn’t always been a straight line; she started with a Bachelor’s Degree in Spanish before she switched over to medicine a few years later, but for Dr. Gail Weingast, it’s a fulfilling history.

These days, Dr. Gail Weingast is best known as a fixture in the radiology department at William W. Backus Hospital in Norwich, Connecticut. She is the Chief of Ultrasound and Breast Imaging, but Dr. Gail Weingast has been able to use her position and her talent to transform her radiology department into one of the best anywhere. That, in turn, has managed to transform the hospital into a premiere medical facility in New England, the United States and the world.
